Dear Deb,
It was a pleasure doing business with you. Thank you for taking our small and somewhat unorthodox project seriously, and bringing such excellent resources to us to finish it quickly and professionally. I learned a lot from the walkthrough with the expert you provided us, and we have a much better and safer training basis as a result. Be assured we will call on you the next time we have a need in this area, and I am happy to be a reference for you if any of your potential customers would like to talk to me about the experience.
Thanks again, and Best Regards

Dear Ms. Hilmerson:
I want to express my thanks for a successful partnership! We needed more safety professionals to assist on a large jobsite, but I had been afraid of the "rent-a-cop" stereotype. Matt and Jeff were exactly the opposite. They didn't carry the 'I'm the consultant, so it's my way or the highway' attitude, but instead displayed teamwork, and jumped right in as part of the Parsons' team. They worked well with everyone on finding or choosing safe work methods.
Matt and Jeff were excellent at the proactive hazard recognition. They interacted well with our crews, discussing safer work methods, and not shying away from necessary recommendations. They also interfaced well with our customers, upholding our reputation for proactive safety. The Parsons' team also appreciated their willingness to roll with our changing schedule and needs, as we increased to the need for full time day and night shift safety. I would recommend Matt and Jeff Slusser as knowledgeable resources that would work in anyone's team.

Deb Hilmerson introduced us to a cost effective option for our New Employee Safety Orientation Video. The results were fantastic and the price was even better! Our previous orientation program was outdated missing content. The "generic" safety videos didn't fit our specific industry. We couldn't spend tens of thousands of dollars on a custom program. Deb Hilmerson, with Hilmerson Safety Services had the answer with a software platform that allowed simple modifications to reveal a custom orientation video fitting our industry. This was all at an affordable price! In addition, we could make changes in the future without having to create a whole new video. The final result was a professional, thorough, and customized video showing our commitment to safety at Berg. Jeff was fabulous to work with during the creation of the program. His expertise in this field and recommendations as to what content would "fit" left us at ease knowing all items were covered and more! When our employees leave our orientation, they aren't feeling bored or uninterested, they actually comment on how great our Safety Orientation Video is to watch compared to others they have seen! Thanks Deb and Jeff!

To Whom It May Concern,
We would like to recommend Hilmerson Safety Services, Inc. for their excellent employee health and safety consultation services. Specifically, Allina Hospitals and Clinics engaged the services of Hilmerson Safety Services, Inc. to assist us in launching a comprehensive program to prevent injuries to staff from falling from heights.
Allina is a large system of 11 hospitals in 60+ clinics spread throughout Central Minnesota and western Wisconsin. The project involved working with multiple stakeholders in a wide variety roles and an equally broad variety of building types. Hilmerson Safety Services, Inc, in the persons of Debra Hilmerson and Matt, assisted us from "soup to nuts" -- that is to say, from policy development through individual site physical review, identification of effective and cost-effective solutions for each issue we encountered, through excellent training that was engaging and was found valuable by both front-line maintenance staff and safety professionals.
In addition to excellent knowledge of OSHA regulations and technical skills, we found Debra and Matt
to be consistently solution- oriented, persistent as appropriate, with the great eye for the important
detail, as well as having pleasant interpersonal skills that facilitated our successes. They were creative
and engaged enough to think along the way of other "value- add" assistance that they could provide to
Allina, such as helping us write grants to OSHA for assistance in implementing Fall Protections. I highly
recommend their services.
Please feel free to call us if you seek further information on this matter.

Dear Debra,
On behalf of the Wilder Foundation and Wilder Community Services for the Aging, I want to thank you and Hilmerson Services for sharing your time and expertise in helping us evaluate risk exposures for our staff at our current bathing facility and making recommendations to be incorporated in our new facility. Your professional insight and advice on applying for the OSHA Safety Grant are much appreciated.
Deb, I wanted to follow up and let you know that we received $5,000 from MNOSHA towards the purchase of our tub. Thank you again for donating your time and writing up that Hazard Survey Report.
Sincerely,

Dear Debra,
I wanted to drop you a line to say Thank You for such a great two hour training class this morning. You are very knowledgable and have a tremendous style that is very comfortable and was well received by all. As you know, most construction workers are "cowboys" and don't naturally like rules and regulations. I think you made it very clear that all of the rules and regulations are really for their own safety and they should take them seriously.
I appreciate you providing this valuable service to companies like ours. Exterior Innovations Inc. wants to continue having a relationship with Frerichs Construction; I think and hope this training will help demonstrate that we really want to improve and get more knowledgable of all of the safety rules and will do everything possible to get this valuable knowledge.
Sincerely,
Gary Phillips

Deb Hilmerson performed Zero Injury Program training on three separate occasions for leaders within our company as part of a larger three day corporate seminar. Deb’s work detailing the program, injury costs, and required personnel paradigm shift provided one of the most unique learning experiences we have had the opportunity to provide to the leaders within our company. Deb has a unique understanding of the personal, financial, and competitive costs associated with a work place injury and has the ability to communicate those costs to a group of leaders in a manner that makes one realize the Zero Injury Program is a business necessity for corporations looking to develop a world class safety program.”

I have had the pleasure to work with Hilmerson Safety Services for the past three years on two commercial construction projects – Norman Pointe II – Bloomington, MN (10-Story Office Building with 8-Story Parking Ramp) and The Shops at West End – St. Louis Park, MN (Mixed Use Retail/Office Development - 8 Buildings and 2 Parking Ramps). Both projects were enormously successful with hundreds of thousands of hours worked safely, due in large part to the hard work, dedication, guidance, and commitment to safety displayed by Deb and Lisa of Hilmerson Safety Services. I cannot thank you enough for helping Duke Construction create, review, sustain, and enforce the safety culture on both of these projects, by working with Duke Construction’s Safety Team, MNOSHA, and all of our subcontractors. I sincerely appreciate it… THANKS!

Thank you for having such professional employees as Lisa Hollingsworth. She has been a huge reason we have accomplished achieving MN Sharp status, but more importantly, she has helped us keep all our workers safe. She has assisted Duke Construction at all of our jobs in creating an awareness and an environment where all are responsible for the safety of a job. Thank you for starting the great company you have. It is always a pleasure to work with you.

A few years ago at the MN Safety Council Annual Convention I ran into Debra Hilmerson, a Little Falls, MN native. At that time, I was not aware of what she was professionally involved in. After a brief conversation, I found out that she is a Safety Professional with a huge knowledge base in all areas and geographic locations of safety. Wow! What a wonderful coincidence as I was recently promoted to Safety Manager for IWCO Direct with Corporate Headquarters in Chanhassen, MN, and facilities in Little Falls, MN, New York and now North Carolina. What an awesome opportunity it has been to learn from Deb, and have her expert assistance available. The initial partnership started with having her do a complete safety audit of one of our facilities. From there, the business relationship has grown in many areas.
Deb is a first rate Trainer, passionate about safety, and the most knowledgeable safety professional I have partnered with. She provides solid and realistic opinions and advice in our continued efforts to be compliant with all of our regulatory agencies and ensure worker safety. Hilmerson Construction Safety Services, Inc. is a very professional business. Every time I partner with them on any project, they not only deliver, they go above and beyond to ensure we are getting everything in an easily understood format in a timely and cost-effective manner with knowledgeable, enthusiastic and dynamic Trainers available as needed.
Thank you!!

"Thank you for the excellent presentation on Best Practices for Construction Safety. The people that attended the presentation gave you very high reviews and I have received a lot of excellent feedback. People are coming to me daily with questions on how to implement or improve the best practices you spoke of, That shows me that you were able to get through to them and motivate them to improve on our current safety program."

"Thank you for speaking at Excel's conference last Friday. We received an overwhelmingly positive response from our attendees about the topics covered in our sessions and the quality of the speakers. I appreciate your willingness to take the time from your busy schedule, particularly after 10-hour training days, to make this conference a success."

"Debra Hilmerson did an outstanding job training a very knowledgeable, diversified group of people. She thoroughly knew each topic and shared a lot of her personal "hands on" experience which gave her a lot of credibility. She was professional and yet the way she conducted the class put participants at ease. Participants were not afraid to ask questions because of her relaxed yet concerned training style. It allowed people to be part of the training and really learn. It was a true learning experience for me. Thank you for offering the class, and thank you for having Deb Hilmerson train it. Great combination."

"Thank you SO much for being part of the Thor Safety Team. I realize "safety" is what you do for a living, but it's evident that it is also what you believe in. Your obvious care of the industry reflects in the seriousness you put into all you are involved in. Just wanted to say thanks."

"I wanted to extend our gratitude to you and Hilmerson Services for the safety support your team provided on the Wilder Center Project. I am convinced that Hilmerson Services contributed to the outstanding safety performance on the project (currently 418 days with no lost time or recordables). I look forward to working with Hilmerson Services on future projects. It is much appreciated the quick responses provided to Duke in the emergencies we did experience (I am thankful it was limited to just one). Lisa's prompt attention to our needs knowing they were immediate went over and above the call of duty. Thank you."

"It has been the privilege of the Minnesota Safety Council to work with Lisa for the past four years on a variety of training programs ranging from skidsteer to confined space to the 10-Hour OSHA Construction training. Training has been held at our training facility for a variety of members who sign up under open enrollment for scheduled offerings. In addition, Lisa has customized training for individual member companies on numerous topics and taught the sessions on-site at their facility. In all her dealings Lisa is dynamic, energetic and engaged -and knowledgeable! Lisa delivers the Minnesota Safety Council brand with excellence!"

"Deb, just a quick note to let you know that we appreciate very much the services that Lisa and you have provided to us over the past year. More specifically, Lisa has been very instrumental in working with our GC’s on our various projects in Chicago, performing periodic site visits and following up with written reports. Those visits and reports have helped us maintain a positive focus on safety, and have helped us in our ongoing dialog with the GC’s as well as our subcontractors. Thanks, and keep up the good work!

"The meeting went very well and Lisa did an outstanding job, she connected quickly with our employees and provided an entertaining and informative training session. On behalf of Tri-State Drilling I would like to extend our sincere appreciation for a job well done.
